Cookie Policy

Effective date: 7 October 2026

This site sets no cookies and uses no browser storage of any kind. The audit below lists every technology a site in this category might use and states, for each one, whether it is present here. The answer is no in every case except the two described in section 4.

Storage audit

Every storage and tracking technology, and whether broadnotion.online uses it
TechnologyUsed on this site?Details
First-party cookiesNobroadnotion.online sets no cookies of its own. There is no session, no login and no preference to remember.
Third-party cookiesNoNo third party is able to set a cookie through this site, because no third-party script, frame or embed is loaded.
localStorageNoThe site's JavaScript does not read from or write to localStorage.
sessionStorageNoNot used. Navigation state such as an open menu exists only in memory until the page is closed.
IndexedDBNoNot used. Nothing is stored in your browser's database.
Tracking pixelsNoNo invisible images, beacons or conversion tags are present in any page.
Browser fingerprintingNoNo canvas, font enumeration, device or behavioural fingerprinting is performed or attempted.
Web fontsYesThe typeface is served by Google Fonts. Your browser requests it directly from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request. No cookie is set on this site by it.
Server access logsYesOur hosting provider records a standard log entry for each request and keeps it for 30 days. This is not a browser technology and nothing is stored on your device.

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to save and to send back on your next visit, which is how a site recognises a returning visitor or remembers that you are signed in. Similar technologies do the same job by other means: localStorage and sessionStorage keep values in the browser, IndexedDB keeps a small database, tracking pixels report that a page was opened, and fingerprinting identifies a device from the combination of characteristics it reveals rather than by storing anything at all.

2. None of them is used here

This site sets no cookies, first-party or third-party. Nobody else can set one through it, because the site loads no third-party script, no advertising tag, no analytics package, no tracking pixel, no social media button, no comment system and no embedded video or map. There is no session identifier, because there is nothing to sign in to. The site is a set of static pages with one small first-party script that opens the navigation menus, the list of questions on narrow screens, and the FAQ panels.

3. Why there is no cookie banner

A consent banner exists to obtain your agreement before something is placed on your device. Nothing is placed on your device here, so there would be nothing for you to agree to. Showing a banner in that situation would tell you something untrue about how the site works, and would ask you to make a choice that has no effect. We would rather publish this page.

4. What does happen instead

Two things, both listed as "Yes" in the audit above.

Access logs. Our hosting provider records a standard web server log entry when your browser requests a page: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string. These are kept for 30 days and used to keep the site available and secure. Nothing is written to your device and nothing follows you to another site. This is described in full in section 4(a) of the privacy policy.

The Google Fonts request. The typeface this site is set in is served by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the stylesheet and font files directly from Google, and Google receives your IP address as a necessary part of delivering them. No cookie is set on this site by that request. What Google does with the request is governed by its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Browser storage and fingerprinting

localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB are not used, and the audit table records each as "No". The site keeps no preference between visits: if you open a menu or expand an answer, that state lasts until you leave the page and is not written anywhere. No tracking pixel is present, and no fingerprinting of any kind is attempted. Closing the tab leaves nothing behind.

6. After you follow an affiliate link

Some pages carry paid affiliate links to Norton AntiVirus Plus. Following one takes you to a different website, and this policy stops at that boundary. Norton AntiVirus Plus and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies on their own domains, typically to record that the referral came from here so that the commission can be attributed. GRESKO s.r.o. does not control those cookies, cannot read them and does not receive their contents. If you want to know what they do, their own cookie notices are the place to look.

7. Controlling cookies in your browser

Although there is nothing on this site to control, every major browser lets you manage cookies generally. The settings are usually found under privacy or site settings, and they let you view and delete cookies already stored, block cookies for particular sites or for all sites, block third-party cookies while allowing first-party ones, and clear everything when the browser closes. Browsing in a private or incognito window discards cookies and storage when the window is closed. Each browser publishes its own current instructions, and those are more reliable than a general description, because the menus move between versions. Blocking all cookies will break sites that need them for signing in; this one will be unaffected.

8. If this ever changes

If this site ever needs a cookie, this page will be rewritten to describe exactly what it is, what it does and how long it lasts, and a working consent mechanism will be in place before any cookie is set — not afterwards, and not with consent assumed from continued reading. The effective date at the top will change on the same day. Until you see that, the audit table above is the complete and current position.
